Ehcache is an open source project distributed under the Apache 2.0 License. Founded in 2003 by Greg Luck, Ehcache is developed and maintained by Terracotta. Terracotta engineers lead the development of Ehcache, which is made available as both an open source project and the commercial Enterprise Ehcache product.
